MMS delivery of breaking news

Monitoring South Africa (MSA) will be launching a new alert service, whereby broadcast clips can be sent directly to a client’s cell phone by means of MMS delivery. This means that any client can be up to date with breaking news about their company where ever they are. MMS Alert will be launched during February 2008.

South Africa Appoints New COO
Monitoring South Africa (MSA) has appointed Anri Schwim as the new Chief Operating Officer and new member of the board. Her responsibilities will include research and the further development of MSA’s well manifested line of products, including; Print, Broadcast and Online Monitoring and Media Analysis.
She will also be involved in the launch of MSA’s advertising tracking, verification and analysis services and is looking forward to introducing MSA’s clients to forthcoming attractions including Back Searches on Tap, HeadlinesToday, MMS Alerts and expanded sector overviews.
Anri holds a Bachelor in Business and Mass Communication from the North-West University (previously known as the Potcherstroom Unirversity for CHE) and is currently working on a Masters Degree in Media Studies. She joined MSA as a Media Analyst in October 2003. In 2006 she accepted the position of Head of the Analysis Department and played
a key role in the development of a reputation analysis methodology in conjunction with Professor Nixon Kariithi (formally Head of Wits School for Media Studies).
Her extensive experience in media analysis, reputation measurement and intimate knowledge of the media monitoring and analysis industry secured her the position as COO of MSA.
Anri Schwim’s appointment adds significant strength and value to the MSA Board and she will play a key role in enhancing the company’s already extensive range of client friendly products.

Monitoring South Africa (MSA), a market leader in media monitoring and analysis, has announced the recent purchase of a custom-build, high-tech building from where the company will continue to meet their clients media monitoring and analysis needs.
MSA Chief Executive, Hennie van Zyl hailed the new building as a major element in the company’s vision for becoming the leading business information provider in South Africa and the rest of the world. “Our new home encompasses the innovation, professionalism and leadership that MSA strive towards and live by each day.” he said.
The company’s new physical address is 191 Witch-Hazel Avenue, Highveld Park Centurion and the new telephone number is 012 665 5331. It joins dozens of other companies in the rapidly developing commercial suburb of Centurion.
MSA offers a broad spectrum of media monitoring services across all media types, including print, online and broadcast.
“We provide our clients with added value in the form of media analysis products of international standing. We also offer premium quality video and audio clips and colour PDFs as a standard service and recently included advertising verification reports as a new product.” Van Zyl added.
The modern and open design of the building provides staff with productive work space in a safe environment. Van Zyl noted that MSA’s anticipated rapid growth has necessitated the investment in our own building. The building comprises of a staff canteen and is fitted with facilities for employees with disabilities. MSA affiliates iNetMedia and the Steadman Group will also host their offices in the new building.
The new home of media monitoring and analysis was officially opened on the 23rd of November 2007 and staff move in on the 1st of December 2007.
